New Richmond
The city of New Richmond is the place where the First Nations, Acadians, Loyalists, Scottish and Irish first arrived. The historical architecture is still present to this day. The Point Taylor Park and Pin Rouge Ski Station are indispensable tourist attractions. It is an undeniable destination for a vacation in the Bay of Chaleur.
Located in the western part of the MRC of Bonaventure, New Richmond covers an area of 171.1 km occupied by 3709 inhabitants (2020). Its richness spreads out along the coast of the Gaspe Peninsula in the heart of a basin of 25,000 people within a radius of 30 km. It represents the principal business place of the central part of the Bay of Chaleur.
